Sonia Mercedes Gisela Valcrcel lvarez is a Peruvian television hostess, actress, and businesswoman.

Valcarcel was born onJanuary 1963, to her parents Jorge Valcrcel and Teresa lvarez. She studied at Institucin Educativa Teresa Gonzlez de Fanning. At ageshe became pregnant by Peruvian songwriter Augusto Polo Campos, resulting in her only child Ethel.
